Capturing Growth in Just a Year: Don't skip photos!

It’s truly amazing how much can change in a short amount of time. I recently had the joy of photographing a sweet family with their 18-month-old son.

As I worked through their session, I couldn’t help but think back to our first shoot when he was just under a year old. Back then, he was crawling, exploring the world with wide-eyed curiosity, and giving us those heart-melting baby giggles.

Fast forward a few months, and he’s now confidently toddling around, pointing at everything that catches his attention, and showing off an irresistible little grin full of personality. It’s a reminder of how quickly these moments pass.

One of the things I love most about family photography is getting to document these milestones. Babies and toddlers grow so quickly, changing almost overnight. Those fleeting moments deserve to be preserved—not just for us to cherish but for them to look back on one day.

This session was full of energy, laughter, and love. Watching the way mom and dad adore him, and seeing how their connection as a family continues to deepen, was truly special. It’s moments like these that make what I do so rewarding.
